Speaker Event with Professor Jonathan Moreno
Dr. Jason Adler, C’93 and Mandee Heller Adler, C’94, W’94 along with University of Pennsylvania Alumni Relations invite you to their home to hear Professor Jonathan Moreno, guest speaker.
Professor Moreno is one of only thirteen Penn Integrates Knowledge (PIK) professors at Penn. This in itself is an honor due to the very unique and selective status that PIK is known for throughout our country's academic community. Professor Moreno will discuss his recent book titled The Body Politic: The Battle over Science in America, which was named a "Best Book" of 2011 by Kirkus Reviews. He will provide us with his personal insight and observations related to the fascinating twists and turns of scientific innovations and discoveries in the life sciences and biotechnology that challenge the status quo from an ethical, political, medical, philosophical and legal perspective. This will be an informative and provocative evening. Guests are able to purchase Dr. Moreno’s book “The Body Politic" at a discounted price of $10.00.
